Meet our host, Shannon Moss.
Shannon is a passionate journalist who has called Maine home since 1999. A former TV news anchor, Shannon is now host of Maine Public’s High School Quiz Show Maine.
Shannon is also the owner of Code Gratitude, a mission-driven company in Maine dedicated to showing our appreciation to first responders and military, by offering special discounts from local businesses.
Shannon, a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, lives in Falmouth with her husband Andy and two sons, Quinn and Rowen.
Meet our DJ, DJ Jon.
DJ Jon has been voted #1 DJ consistently for over two decades in Portland, ME. He has worked in radio for many years, serving as music director, mix-show DJ, on air personality and programmer. Sirius XM, Atlantic Coast Radio, and Saga Communications (Portland Radio Group). He can be heard presently at WHTP-Portland’s Hot 104.7
Along with birthdays, weddings, bat/bar mitzvahs, anniversaries, and corporate events, DJ Jon has worked with and performed with national and local corporations such as: Clear Channel, Interscope Records, Universal, Epic, Def Jam, Cellardoor Winery, IDEXX, Marriott Hotels, Portland Harbor Hotel, WEX, Marianmade Farm, Napa Auto Parts etc. Concerts include Dave Chappelle, the XX, Daryl Hall, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Billy Ocean, Salt N Pepa, Colbie Callait, George Clinton, John Legend, Nelly Furtado and many more.
Senator Justin Chenette
Justin is serving as the youngest Senator in the Maine Senate where he represents Saco, Old Orchard Beach, Hollis, Limington, and part of Buxton. He works as the Journal Tribune's Digital Advertising Executive, Saco Sport & Fitness's Marketing Coordinator, Ironman's Maine triathlon Volunteer Coordinator, and is also a small business owner, running his own marketing & public relations firm, Chenette Media LLC.
Samantha is a seventh generation Mainer who has the honor of telling stories that matter most to her community every day. She has worked with NEWS CENTER Maine since graduating from the University of Southern Maine in 2014 – she became a full-time reporter in March of 2016. When she isn’t working, Samantha loves spending time with her family and two kitties.
Steve is the fourth President and CEO of L.L.Bean. He began his career in 1992 at J. Walter Thompson in New York City. He moved to Maine in 1997 and rose to become the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Resort Sports Network. In 2011, he joined Walmart International where he gained general management responsibility, integrating e-commerce into the core business and improving annual sales growth. A year later, Steve became Chief Customer Officer of ASDA (part of Walmart International), a $30+ billion food, fashion and general merchandise omnichannel business in the United Kingdom.

Meet our founder, Dr. Glen Knock
Dr. Glen Knock is a recently retired dentist from Falmouth Dental Arts. Glen has a huge heart and noticed a deep need in community dental services and the lack of funding. With his love for both ballroom dance and dentistry, Dancing With The Dentists was born! The first season took place back in 2013 and was a magnificent success. Today, Glen is enjoying retirement and traveling the world with his wife.
Meet our Director, Dr. Peter Then
Dr. Peter Then is a Periodontist at Corey + Then Periodontics in South Portland, Maine as well as the Director for the Casco Bay Study Club. As the standing champion for the Dancing With The Dentists Season 2, Peter couldn't have been more excited to take on the role of Director. Since then, he has officially caught the dance bug and still currently takes lessons with Polina from Ballroom Dance Portland.
Abbie McGilvery is the founder and owner of From the Nest - a social media and marketing company. She helps people find their stories and share them for the wold to see. She has a bubbly personality and is a tree-hugging, art-loving Mom from Portland, Maine.
This Maine raft Guide turned river rag ringer has worked professionally in media for eight years, including holding positions as the founding editor of No Umbrella – Maine’s Offbeat Outdoor Paper and sports reporter for the Republican Journal of Belfast. His writing has also appeared in SKI Magazine, N’EAST Magazine and The Original Irregular. Awards include two third place awards for sports writing from the Maine Press Association and a Citation from Unity College for “contributions to environmental writing and advocacy.” In addition to having a talent for effectively sharing a real world perspective with any and all, this guy is generally an operator.
From shooting heli-skiers in Valdez, AK to Class V Whitewater expeditions in Maine, this guy spends his time showing people the world through his lens. A videographer and cinematographer since 2001, he has been professionally capturing once-in-a-lifetime moments for over a decade. Sports, weddings, documentaries, TV commercials and custom videos are all a part of his repertoire. Becoming No Umbrella Media’s Director of Photography in 2010, this guy brings a wealth of experience to help drive the company’s productions to a whole new level.
As one of Maine’s leading color experts, Holly O’Reilly, the owner of Primp Salon, has a long history of passion for classic and beautiful hair styles. At a young age she was determined to one day own her own salon, and began attending Headhunter’s School of Hair Design while still a high school student. Holly has worked at top salons in the Southern Maine area, owned two of her own salons, and has over 20 years of experience in color, color correction and hair styling. She is currently co-owner of Primp Salon. She continues to educate herself on the newest color lines, techniques and trends. The loyalty of Holly’s clientele is not only attributed to her exceptional skill and dedication to her craft, but is also due to her outgoing and warm personality. Every client, new or old, receives Holly's full attention and care, and leaves Holly’s chair looking and feeling more beautiful than when they arrived.
